I'm Nicholas. A designer living in Omaha, NE.

I have too many typefaces.

Okay, maybe I really don’t have too many. I have a lot right now, though, and I really need to go through them. Deactivate those awful ones that will never get used.

Wait.

Delete those awful ones that will never get used. Ahh, that sounds better. Soon it’ll feel better as soon as I tackle the awful task. Head first into a world of stems, serifs and counters.

Tumble and rise and try again and what not. If I think I’m stumbling, then I’m most likely going down next. Which is fine, because I’ll pull myself back up. How does this relate to typefaces? It doesn’t really. Silver Mt Zion references do not need to. They can, but are not limited to.

I can’t decide if I should continue to keep producing work in the same vein or branch off. At this point, for me, branching off actually means coming back to the tree in a way. Perhaps it’s time for some package design. Brochures. Identities (more). Things of that nature.

I’ve decided I might need to cut the gig posters out of my book, which I may have known from the start but I needed work to place in it. It’d be nice to be able to customize my book based on the interview I’m in. Perhaps the weekend will allow me to do such a thing. Almost midnight and I feel like I’m already running out of gas. What a shame. Time for Naked juice, or however much is left in the bottle.
