It’s only right to include Dieter Rams in this, even if it’s just the visual.

A lack of substance is not minimal and its not clever. It’s boring and lazy. An empty white space is not clean, it’s hollow. White space on the other hand, is completely different.

Minimalism is not a lack of something. It’s simply the perfect amount of something.

Simplicity should be found in the execution, not in the meaning.

Lastly, simply not doing something does not mean you’ve done something. Anyone can light a fire. It’s much harder to get someone’s attention just as quickly by using different means.
